107.9 KHXT GENERAL CONTEST RULES

 

The following rules pertain to all KHXT contests unless specifically exempted or superseded in individual contest rules.

 

How to enter:

a.       Contests begin and end as specified on air and are open to KHXT listeners who meet eligibility restrictions, unless otherwise specified.

b.      Entry Method is at the discretion of management and in some cases, the on-air personality.

 

Eligibility Restrictions:

a.       Contest winners must be 18 years of age with valid identification and a resident of the state of Louisiana who lives within 75 miles of the station. Some contests may require participants or winners to be at least 21 years of age.

b.      Employees of Townsquare Media, its affiliates, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Lafayette area and the members of their immediate households are ineligible to participate or win.

c.      Listeners are eligible to win a contest once per calendar month. One winner per household per contest per calendar month.

d.      Listeners are eligible to win a prize valued at $600 or more only once every six months.

 

To claim a prize:

a.      All prizes must be picked up at the offices of KHXT, 1749 Bertrand Dr., Lafayette LA, 70506, during normal business hours. Prizes not claimed in person within 10 working days of winning will be forfeited.

b.      Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted or redeemed for cash.

c.      Winners must provide proof of identity and residency to claim a prize.

d.      Once a prize is accepted, winner assumes all responsibility.

 

Selection of winners:

a.      Decisions of station management with regard to contests are final.

 

Conditions:

a.      Payment of all federal, state and local taxes if the sole responsibility of the winner.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS form 1099 or the equivalent.

b.      By participating in a contest, the winner(s), finalists and/or qualifiers agree to have their name, voice and/or likeness used in any advertising or broadcast material relating to this contest or to KHXT.  A winner may or may not be required to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of a prize.

c.      Contest winners will be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of any prize valued at $600 or greater or which prize includes the provision of transportation, whether or not such transportation is provided by KHXT. Pursuant to this liability release, the winner agrees to hold harmless KHXT, its licensee and the partners, officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or contest.

d.      KHXT, its employees and agents are not responsible for late, lost or misdirected mail, technological errors, and/or failures of telephone equipment.

 

KHXT reserves the right to make changes in the rules of any contest which become effective upon announcement.

 

No purchase is necessary. Contests void where prohibited.

 

Failure to comply with contest rules may result in a contestant’s or winner’s disqualification.
